Formal complaint filed against Martin Barrash MD regarding:
1) Unprofessional conduct that is likely to deceive, defraud, or injure the public
2) Inability to practice medicine with reasonable skill and safety
I am submitting a formal complaint with the TSBME secondary to findings from the Proposal for Decision SOAH docket No. 503-02-3656 CONCLUSION OF LAW number 8 as well as the Board Order signed by the President of the TSBME which states “Staff failed to establish that Dr. Chalifoux violated an accepted medical standard of care in his treatment of patients TL, ML, JS, GB, PR, TT, BR, HS, CP, or EA”.
Dr. Barrash testified for the staff of the TSBME that Dr. Chalifoux had violated the standard of care in these 10 patients.
Either Dr. Barrash was unethical and testified knowing full well that Dr.Chalifoux had in fact followed the standard of care or Dr. Barrash does not know what the standard of care was in the treatment of these ten (10) patients and needs to take remedial CME after having his license suspended.
No one should be immune from being investigated when they are so obviously wrong about the information they claim to be discussing as a medical expert. It is now incumbent upon him to defend his medical actions on how and why he would have treated these ten patients “below the standard of care”.
I look forward to the results of your inquiry.
Sincerely,
Roland Chalifoux Jr.DO
