The public thinks that the board members are super doctors. They do not understand that these are politicians and political appointees. THey were not selected by their peers. They were selected by their congressmen and senators. They were appointed by Governor Perry. Does the public think that Mr. Perry is an expert on doctors? The weakness of this board is to educate the public that these are self righteous political hacks with clear political agendas that are hacking away at good and dedicated doctors. The public would not stand up for having their own rights stripped away by some committee who bought their way into power appointed by a governor who is not particularly well liked. This is NOT the American way. This is the weakness of this board. No one will win against the board if they are fighting for their own narrow case. Their own pattern of criminal behavior, hooliganism, cronyism, malice, disrespect for the rights of the people they are supposed to be guiding will be the most eloquent weapon that will bring them down. In a democratic republic, everyone in power is supposed to follow the rules and respect a citizens rights. A license might be a "priviledge" but once you have one, a citizen has the right of due process and respect as a human being. When those civil rights are abridged, they have comitted a crime against the people and the state and should be prosecuted and or removed.

Comments:
I completely agree with this comment. My family member was a victim as well. If you try to get any kind of help, you are redirected to TSBME! How does that help??? I've also noticed that TSBME seems to like to have any negative "press" removed from the internet (unless it's AAPS). The only pages I can find are those of rulings that were upheld. There must be a busy webmaster out there somewhere! Ever notice how many links wind up in a dead end? I wonder why??? Also, why does the TSBME get involved with employee complaints? Isn't that the job of the Texas Workforce Commission? And why when you are blamed for one thing, why do they search and search for something else? And, how does the Board make their money? License applications? Hardly. How about fines. I wonder how many out there know about the scams involving Roberta Kalafut and Keith Miller? Hmmm, wonder why they had to step down!?

You have NO choice but to take whatever action they choose! When my family member was persecuted, this person tried to hand Keith Miller a book of evidence that was compiled against the FORMER DISGRUNTLED employees who filed the complaint and Keith Miller stated unequivocally "We don't want to hear it." N-I-C-E right?
